About the Journal

Aim and Scope

The Interdisciplinary British and American Studies Journal (IBAS Journal) is a rigorously double-blind peer-reviewed, biannual academic journal that fosters innovative scholarship in countries with British and American literary traditions. IBAS Journal welcomes submissions from scholars, researchers, and advanced graduate students working across disciplines, including literature, language, culture, and society of Britain and America. We are particularly interested in any kind of scholarly work from the Medieval Age to the present day. Our goal is to foster a deeper understanding of Britain and America through research conducted in a global context, including those from non-anglophone countries.

Peer Review Policy

IBAS Journal employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and objectivity of published scholarship.

Open-Access Policy 

IBAS Journal adopts the open-access policy. 

Publication Cost

Publishing in IBAS Journal requires no article processing charges (APC) or other publication fees (e.g. article submission charges). Publishing is free of cost.

Publication Frequency

Two issues per year. 

Archiving Policy

This journal subscribes LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archival system based at Stanford University Libraries, United Kingdom, through PKP Private LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Network program.

Repository Policy

The Interdisciplinary British and American Studies Journal is committed to open access and the dissemination of research. To support these goals, all articles published in the IBAS Journal are deposited in Zenodo, a free and open-access repository hosted by CERN.

IBAS journal maintains a strict no-tolerance policy for plagiarism in all its forms. Plagiarism, including but not limited to copying text, ideas, or data without proper attribution, is considered a serious ethical violation. To ensure the originality of submitted manuscripts, we utilize advanced plagiarism detection tools like iThenticate and İntihal.net.
